Training
- NRA Basic Pistol Course – Instructor Led – We try to offer one class each month.
- NRA Women on Target Instructional Shooting Clinic (Rifle and Pistol) – These are four hour instructional clinics for women only and are designed to teach you firearm safety, ammunition, what to expect at the range, and fundamental marksmanship. We provide the firearms, (handguns and rifles), ammunition, targets, and the eye and ear protection. Three hours in the classroom and about one hour on the range.
- NRA Basic Rifle Shooting Course – One or two classes a year depending on demand.
- NRA Defensive Pistol / CCW/ Advanced Pistol – Completion of Basic Pistol Shooting required. One or two classes a year depending on demand.

Women’s After Hours
What: An opportunity for women to practice basic shooting skills.
It is not required that you participate in the Women’s After-Hours shooting but if you have not previously attended a Basic Firearm Safety Course we strongly encourage you to take this step. You can search online for available courses in our community at the nrainstructors.org website.
Where: Poulsbo Sportsman’s Club, 16990 Clear Creek Road, Poulsbo, WA 98370.
All attendees are required to sign in at the PSC Range Office prior to going to the shooting area. Non-Shooters (NS) are also required to sign in, but not required to pay the event fee.
Who: PSC Club Members and Non-Members.
There is no fee for PSC members. Non-Members need to pay a $5.00 fee if shooting. Please review the Range Safety Rules on the homepage of this website.
When: The 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month, 5:00 – 7:00 PM.
You do not need to arrive at 5 PM, however please arrive no later than 6:30.
What to bring:
- Handguns and/or rifles with correct ammunition
- Targets
- Ear/Hearing Protection. We do have some to loan.
- Eye Protection (Prescription glasses are fine)
- Appropriate seasonal clothing; Closed toe shoes or boots for protection.
This is not a class. It is an opportunity to shoot with other women. If you need help, we normally have Range Officers that can assist you if you want it.
