Poulsbo Sportsman Clubs Primitive Area Is dedicated to events circa 1820 – 1840. Access is via Innovative Way off of Clear Creek Rd. With 3 major events each year, plus regular monthly shoots, this is a fun family activity for all ages.

Regular monthly shoots are held the first Sunday of the month. Shooters meeting starts at 10:00 am with safety instructions and event rules. Eye and hearing protection is required for all shooting activities at all times. Shooting starts at 10:30 am. Cost is $7.00 per person 18 and over.

Rendezvous:

Snarlin’ Badger Fort Shoot is May 1-3, 2026. Primitive camping as well as “tin teepee” spots are available. Primitive dress is requested… Click Here for full details etc.

Bremerton Brigade Rondy is first full weekend in August (July 31 to Aug. 2, 2026). The “Cook Shack” will be open for breakfast and lunch for those who prefer their meals prepared! Click Here

Same camping options as for Snarlin’ Badger. Again look for the flyer on the Club website and at Cascade Mountain Man show at the Enumclaw Fairgrounds, Enumclaw, WA in March for both Rondys.

Youth & Family Day:

Youth & Family day is held the first Saturday in June and is free to all comers! Especially geared for youth to learn historical ways of the mountain men of the 1780 – 1840 time period, they will be able to shoot black powder rifles, throw a tomahawk, start a fire with flint and steel and practice archery. Parents and/or guardians must be with participants under 18 years old.

Food and drinks are provided.

In addition, the modern ranges will be open that day for small bore rifle and shotgun practice.
